The problem with a lot of PLR articles is that they are often too short for content marketing.
Many people don’t know how to overcome this issue, as most PLR Articles come in at around 400 to 500 words long .
Some do offer longer articles but you might have trouble finding them consistently
For many years now, Google has favoured longer pieces because it seems like people want more depth when reading online.
How are you able to compete with websites that have blog posts which are 2,000 words long when your content is only 454 words?
There’s a few ways around it.
Let’s look at what else you can do in this article.
How Long Should Your Blog Content Be?
While the length of your blog post can vary for different niches, it’s important to know what is considered average.

Take a look at top 10 results on Google when you search for a keyword.
You may discover that competition varies depending on niche.
Look through each post or page.
Do they have 400-600 words or 2,000+ words?
That will help determine how many sentences are good enough before people stop reading.
Researching your niche can be daunting, but once you know the word count of competitors in that topic area, it will make creating content for new websites much easier.
If there are not many people writing on a certain subject within your industry or market space, then by all means write about whatever is most relevant to customers and prospects.

If you have more competition, do some research before making definitive statements about how long blog posts should be and which topics relate best to their needs.
You may find yourself conversant enough in those areas so that readers come back again and again because they like hearing from someone knowledgeable in these fields.
Use Artificial Intelligence tools – AI
Re-writing content is vital.
Whether it is simple paraphrasing or actually re-writing from scratch.
Free resources can help such as using a thesaurus for synonyms but a quicker way is to use AI.
I like to use a tool called Jarvis.
While it’s not the best option for technical topics, for other stuff it does great.
Here is a video of me using it to craft a blog post from scratch.
Snipe Top Ranked Content
Go to Goole and enter a search phrase and you’ll often see people also ask content.
Each question you find will have an accompanying answer.

You can use these questions as sub headings to beef up your PLR content and then use the content improver function of Jarvis to re-write the answers.
Run the new content through something like CopyScape and bingo, you can get several hundred new words to add to your blog post.
This video shows you how to do this.
Images and Titles Are Vital
First, make sure to add in eye-catching titles and images so readers will want more of what you offer!
You can differentiate between the actual title, and the SEO title.
Adding a featured image really helps.
The ones on this site are examples of featured images that you can create easily.
There also plenty of stock image sites you can source from.
Change Into Ebooks
You can turn PLR eBooks into longer blog posts.
Since they are about 4x the length of an article, you’ll be able to use one or more chapters as a post.
Or combine them for even higher value content!
Just make sure to spend time to format them, add any links you want and make them look the part.
Hire a Freelance Writer
Hiring freelance writers can be expensive, but it’s a good investment that will reap rewards many times over if/when you get your content to rank in the search engine results.

You only need to do this for keywords on topics people are willing and able pay money for.
So, “money content.”
Combine PLR Articles
After following through with such a long process of writing and rewriting, you may be feeling just as burnt out as I am.
But it’s worth the time investment when we take into account that this is how to get more readers for your blog!
Now if only there were some way to create one big article from several smaller ones without having them all mixed up together…

Ah-ha!
That’s where combining two or four 400 word PLR articles will come in handy because they’ll provide ample content material for our desired length while maintaining an interesting flow throughout.
Of course these pieces should also have been rewritten so Google sees each sentence as new.
But don’t worry about those words cluttering up your page optimization since their placement coincides neatly with SEO.
NOTE: You will not be penalized for duplicate content (that is a long time myth), but you may not rank either.
Website Speed
It’s not just the PLR content you bought, but the website you publish it on that counts.
Quality content that is long enough is one thing.
But you’ll need backlinks if you want to rank and get found in the search engines.
Having a strong backlink profile comes with time.
But one thing you can do right away, is to ensure you have a fast website.
This will mean things load up quickly ensuring visitors do not get frustrated and leave right away.
If that happens, it’s a negative signal to Google which you do not want.
This video shows you how to do this to get into the good books with Google for free.
A fast site means it will load immediately and this will stop a lot of people from leaving.
A good bounce rate is one of the many ranking factors around.
Social Media Traffic
Once you have your private label rights re-written and published, then make sure to focus on quick wins.
You can use PLR content on Social media.
Social media traffic can help and share your article across Facebook, pin it on Pinterest and Twitter.

If you can , turn it into a video for YouTube as well.
Great for reaching a new audience.
Encourage people from these networks to leave a comment on the content as well.
Finally, if you can stretch to it, spend a little on Facebook, Bing or Youtube ads as well.
